My name is Ryan. My psychotherapy practice is open to all individals who seek confidential, reflective space to work on any distressing issue in life. It is based on integrative approach, what means that my work is informed by various therapeutic traditions (e.g. psychodynamic approach with elements of cognitive behavioural techniques) to produce unique therapy format, tailored to your individual needs.
General Counselling / Psychotherapy
Any issue can be explored in general counselling. General counselling is a flexible, and usually long term therapeutic modality, which alllows deeper, meaningful exploration of client's issues. Although most clients choose to come for therapy at the time of high distress, there is also an increasing number of people undergoing counselling as means of self-development, i.e. seeking to understand themselves better, learn how to create more fulfilling relationships and how to live in a more authentic, rewarding way.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Simply speaking, CBT is a form of structured, goal-oriented, and short-term therapeutic modality, which is currently recommended for most specific emotional issues. CBT is based on an idea that thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interconnected and that by changing the way we think about our reality, we also change the way we feel about ourselves and the world around us. The essence of cognitive therapy is to identify and to examine underlying unhelpful beliefs that are responsible for person's emotional distress and to generate alternative, more balanced thoughts.
